Practical Tool: Indigenous Consultation Checklist

The Project for Indigenous Self-Determination presents the "Indigenous Consultation Checklist," a practical tool that can assist Indigenous peoples, organizations, and/or governments in assessing whether or not Indigenous consultation is aligning with the requirements of international law. This one-page document is easy to use and is based on the principles found in ILO Convention 169 which relate to consultation. The "Indigenous Consultation Checklist" is designed to be a starting point for discussions and assessments of Indigenous consultation policies and practices, and is free for anyone to use.
